What are your priorities?
A priority is something regarded as more important than anything else.
Looking back on my own life, I can see that I have not always had my ducks of priority in a row as they should be. I have set priorities in my life that appeased my own selfish desires, and I have set priorities based on what I thought others expected out of me, while I put Godly priorities on the back burner.
Priorities can come in many different packages. Some of the most common priorities that come to mind often include things like: family, work, education, relationships, church, and God, but what about everything else? Anything that we label as important is a priority, and if we are not careful, these priorities can become idols - if we make them more important than our relationship with God. If we have time to scroll through Facebook every day but we don't make time to pray, our priorities are out of line.
So take a moment to think about the priorities in your life. What priorities are currently at the top of your list? Does your list of priorities align with what the Bible says?
The number one priority that should be at the top of our list should always be God.
As it says in Matthew 6:33, “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
