Hello, my name is Summer, and I am the owner and creator of Worth More. If this is your first time visiting my blog, I would like to welcome you! If you have visited my blog or social media accounts before, I am glad that you're back!

I wanted to hop on here and share a little about myself, as I haven't yet done that in any of my other blog posts. So here we go!

Born in Georgia and raised in Alabama, I am a southern girl all the way. I come from a family of nine, with five brothers, one sister, and two Godly parents, whom I love dearly. My siblings and I were all homeschooled, and as PKs (preacher's kids), we have been around Christian ministry our whole lives. As the years have passed, and all of my siblings have moved on, married, and started having kids of their own, our family has nearly tripled in size. I am 24 years old now, and it seems as if life is passing more quickly with each new day.

In 2016, I graduated high school with a dream of starting college and pursuing a career as a nurse. God, however, had other plans for my life, and here I am six years later with a degree in Teaching English as a Second Language and currently working on my Master's degree. Although I still have a passion for working in the medical field, I did not feel that pursuing my nursing degree was what the Lord had planned for my life, at least not for now. Now I am teaching English online part-time while working part-time as a Certified Nurses Aide, so yes, I am still getting to live out my dream of nursing to an extent. It has been a fun experience, however, meeting and teaching people from all over the world.

As a teenager, God also gave me a passion for missions. At 17 years old, I went on my first mission trip and absolutely fell in love with the work that we were doing. I go on mission trips as often as I can, which is usually once or twice a year, but in the meantime, I serve where I can here at home. Eventually, I hope to work abroad, more long-term, but for now, the Lord still has me here in Alabama.
